In today’s episode, I had the opportunity to bring Erik Bustillo, a great colleague and dietitian out of Miami with a similar background as mine who came to share his story and also drop some knowledge on how to start 2020 with a different spin as you approach weight loss or improving your eating habits. He shared 3 big things that you need to succeed in anything this year.
Erik Bustillo is a Registered Dietitian. He attended Florida International University and earned the title of Registered Dietitian. Additionally, Erik is also a Certified Sports Nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition- ISSN, and a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association – NSCA. He also specializes in reading and understanding blood/lab values that have a direct effect on the human physiology and one’s ability to perform. Several fields of expertise are energy improvement, performance recovery, weight loss, working with professional/elite athletes, stress management, inspirational communication. Erik has experience in clinical research studies and extensive knowledge in medical nutrition therapy. Erik has contributed to the field of science by being a test subject in studies as well as by helping complete and conduct clinical research studies. Erik specializes in performance nutrition for athletes with his specialty being sports nutrition, supplementation and motivation; this makes him a diverse health professional. Erik has studied the science of nutrition for many years because he understands that nutrition is an elemental factor with the state of well-being.
